Is HTML games possible? P.S i only know VERY little about HTML!?

I'm thinking about learning HTML (for no reason) and was thinking about if it is possible to make HTML-games? If it is and you have ever made an simple HTML game, could you please comment the script, just so i can see how the actual script looks. And keep in mind that i have only been learning HTML for about 2 days and I'm not learning it to make games, just for fun. I'm just curious.
