Is Honda Civic in 2001 worse than it in other years?

I am about to buy a 2001 Civic EX which has about 60k mileage on it. It is a good deal from good people. However, when I checked Carfax, there were concerns about transmission failure and many other things, about 22 recalls so far.

Is 2001 a bad year for a used Civic? Anybody has more knowledge on it? Thanks a lot!

it really depends on what your geting the car for. either you want it because its light weight and easy to make into a daily driving race car orrr you want it as a reliable good gas mileage point a to b car. as far as for a race car, if the price is right then sure its all good, honda parts are cheap! if its for a daily driver and recalls scare you, dont be! if a company puts something on recall that means they will fix the problem for free! of course i would test drive it first, but if it seems to be in good running condition then it should be a fine buy. if any of those recall problems should occur (which after 60k miles if they havnt then they probaly wont show) then thats fine, honda will fix them free of charge. either way good car.
