...city ? What about other provinces? Ive met the nicest people while hitch hiking, most of the time. I was hitch hiking north of Montreal near Rawdon a fewf weeks ago on a cold morning, and a cop pulled over. He told me I didnt have the right to hitch hike. I asked if I could get a ride with him, and he asked me for ID, and rolled up his window while he checked me out. When he found out I was a resident, he was more courteous, calling me Monsieur, and told me that the downtown I was heading toward wasnt far ( which I already knew ) and drove off in the direction I was going, lol, leaving me in his gas fumes. What happened To Serve and Protect ? A friend told me that it is legal to hitch-hike on highways up to 100 km an hour and also at exits and entrances. What's the law and if it is illegal, what's the fine ?
