Is hestons blumenthals restaurant worth the money?

for my 18th and my parents 50th we are thinking of going to the fat duck restaurant...we have looked at the menu - which looks rather...interesting :P is it really as good as people say and what is the food actually like? if not have you tried jamie olviers restaurant 15 or gordon ramsays restaurants and are they any good and value for money? are there any other top chef restaurants which are excellent?
