Is having a visible, green vein on the bottom left of the palm a big problem?

After playing the violin just for a short time I had this little pain just above my wrists. Whenever I twist a lid or carry a heavy object with my left hand, or moving my thumb I feel the pain and I can see the greenish vein( which I could slightly feel by touching. It's not varicose).It is pretty similar to the veins on the feet btw. The next day the slight pain was gone but the vein is still there.>_<
