Is going to Army Basic Training between junior and senior year of high school worth it?

I'd like to get the ball moving as fast as possible, but I hear that people have a hard time adjusting to AIT after not being in Basic for a while. But, I am doing Early Graduation, and graduating in January instead of June.

Would you wait?

( One of my close friends came back from basic yesterday, and everyone looks at him like he's the Messiah. Lol )
