is going green a hoax?

i just found out that me neighbors think our government is making up our problem with the atmosphere. they said," just because it is in books and because the president says so, doesn't make it real. some scientist don't believe it either." why would going green be a scam?

I dont think going green is a hoax. I do it every day. Its just as simple as recycling or shutting off lights. Those scientist who thought that, their stupid.
 
It could be, but there are more people trying to be environmental to prolong the planet's health of its wildlife and atmosphere. I do not think the government cares if we go green or not, they just want our money. Also, I don't see government programs going green, I see either coperations or individuals doing it.
