Is "Go Tell It on the Mountain" more about the discovery of faith or the loss of faith?

I need to write an essay about this on my english exam tomorrow, and I can't decide which side to pick. I don't know what would be the best argument. Any help will be great.
I'm talking about the book, not the song...

I don't believe it is either (if you can argue that). The main lyric is "Go tell it on the mountain"; I think the song is more about us sharing our faith with others, all over the world, even if it is difficult!

I'm not sure my dear as I haven't seen that one yet but if it's by the same writer who happened to write Brokeback Mountain, I would say it is probably more about discovery than faith.

Funny though how every time somebody would tell me how good they thought it was, I did for some strange reason feel like shouting at them... oh "GO TELL IT ON THE MOUNTAIN!"

Good luck with your exam tomorrow.
