Is go-karting a sport?

im a racer myself, and i believe it is.
im doing a research essay about go-karting and whether it is considered a sport or not,
so i just want to see what you guys think! thanks :)
 
Yes I have seen races, Little kids, its brutal. I really don't consider being in a machine a sport, since the only goal is to be the 1st across the finish line, now if they had several races and threw in a ball that would be a sport
