Is GM planning on discontinuing Buick? I LOVE BUICK & DON'T WANT IT GONE!?

No they are not disconinuing the old man car. But they are discontinuing Pontiac, so we will not be able to get the G8 from Australia. But if the government dictates what they make, they will have even more trouble selling cars.

I have a GMC truck at work, but I still wonder how GM could be so clueless. When I attended the "Auto Show in Mortion" a couple of years ago where they let us drive GM vehicles and the competition and could have asked people's opinions, the biggest thing I came away with is that most GM vehicles have no place to put your left foot. But nobody asked. So my 2008 GMC work truck has no comfortable place to put my left foot and for some strange reason the instruments are offset from the steering wheel so I cannot even see some of the instruments or much of the speedometer. But it is a 6.0L 6-speed and I just get where I am going faster, and fortunately have not gotten a speeding ticket yet.

No. Its one of their more profitable divisions and its the reason they are #1 in China.

GM put a lot of money in to the Zeta cars (G8 & Camaro) so they won't go away. It will probably end up with a Chevy grill and Impala badges. Especially when you remember that the Zeta platform is the replacement for the W-body platform and the Impala and a few low volume Buicks are pretty much the only w-body cars left. You wont make money building 1 car off a platform. Zeta is used worldwide so its used for a lot more than 2 cars.

NO.

GM will keep Buick, Chevy, and Cadillac as their main three brands.

They sold Saturn already to Roger Penske, which was a former race car driver for the 1969 Chevy Camaro over 40 years ago, and now owns a race team.

They are trying to sell Hummer to a Chinese Industrial manufacturing company, but that company is trying to get approval from the Chinese government to officailly buy the Hummer brand.

Saab is being sold to Koenigsegg, a Swedish Supercar maker.

Opel, GM's largest European brand, is now owned by Magna, a Canadian Company. But GM still owns 35% of the company.

GM still has Holden and Vauxhall overseas.
GM plans to eventually discontinue GMC, since they are the same as Chevy SUV and Pick Up's. And they already discontinued Pontiac. They plan to close all dealerships and finish selling all Pontiac's by next year.
