is getting larger cold air intake system good for Jeep Grand Cherokee?

Hi,
I have a 2001 Jeep GC, and with the global concerns, emission problems, common sense tells me I should chip-in for the cause.

If I have a larger CAI installed what could the positive/negative effects be?
and how much should I expect to pay for all that?

any help would be great,

cold air intakes aren't necessarily worth it b/c the filter clogs easier and you lose the two extra horsepower you gain over a short ram intake faster. just get a short ram intake......the better you get the engine breathing the better the engine, the bigger cat will make the exhaust more restrictive so you be losing horsepower with that so i suggest intake and exhaust or better flowing muffler and you'll be fine
