ok, a little background:
my two roomates from last year moved out a couple months ago. they were first cousins. a male and a female. both straight. the same age. looked alike. raised in the same house as brother and sister. and yes, i caught them having sex. and it was weird. and i'm so freaking excited that i don't have to live in an incest palace anymore, because i think that's some creepy *** ****.
so i was talking to friend of mine the other week, and these two came up. he brought up an interesting topic: aside from the potential for offspring with birth defects, why is cousin/sibling fuc*ing so taboo? say what?! then he said that he had "tried to expand his mind" and think about if it would creep him out to have sex with his brother, as they are gay and would have no potential for offspring. his conclusion was that he would be ok with doing the nasty with his brother. and possibly his first cousin as well... I don't know if he remembers this when he was drunk a few years ago he briefly told my friend Laura and I that he used to fool around with his older brother when he was younger.
i tried to think outside the social taboos, but i still can't wrap my mind around this. is it just me?
