I am really thinking about getting a Ford Bronco as my first vehicle, so is having a Ford Bronco worth the low MPG?

I would only use it to drive to school, during the week, the occasional walmart trip, and occasional offroading. So, is it worth it?

Probably not, if you don't do much offroading...big tires and low gears get terrible mileage.. sounds like a great off-road-er though...

Bob seems to be clueless on the subject. The Ford Bronco II (Ranger-based) was the one that thad the roll over issues, not the full sized Bronco. In the future please do just 2 minutes of research before making such baseless accusations. The reason Ford stopped making the Bronco was because the Expedition replaced it.

Anyway. If you are concerned about fuel mileage then this is not the vehicle for you. With that said, they are robustly built, surprisingly easy to drive, and quite roomy. They are also easy and cheap to repair. I've had my 1995 Bronco for 11 years. it has 197k miles on it. Aside from having the transmission rebuilt and normal maintenance it's been very reliable. I would recommend the Bronco to anyone.
