Is forensic psychology thrilling and dangerous?

Pretty much the only reason I want to be a forensic psychologist is because of the excitement and thrill of interacting with dangerous criminals. I really love dangerous situations and since I'm probably not the best fit for a police officer, I wanted something else in law enforcement that put me face to face with danger.

Am I being unrealistic? Is the excitement I crave compatible with forensic psychology? Will I just end up being disappointed?
