Is fish oil the only source to get the Omega 3 that's healthy for our hearts?

Or is there another supplement to take that has "Omega's only" and no fish oil.

My doctor recommended taking 1000mg of fish oil, 3 times a day because it has the Omega 3's that is good for my heart, and also helps calm down my hormones. I was wondering, is there another way of taking Omega 3's , like in a separate capsule, or it HAS to be in the fish oil?
