is faith a mental illness?

id rather know the truth the afterlife isnt as good as being alive thats all the faith i need
let me restate it faith in god and 40 virgins in the afterlife
 
lol,don't mean to laugh,but this question struck me as funny,cause at times how people act concerning it,it does seem that way.
 
a person without faith is like an empty shell. faith is what keep us having a Sense of humanity. people without faith dnt have moral values or they live by thr own man made values which mostly contradict most pure form of faith
 
LOLOL sumtimes i wonder myself.. but no i dont think it is.. i think some ppl are radicals n call it faith.. thts the scary ones ..
 
faith can be anything. An example.I have faith my son will change his habits, etc... Faith actually gives people hope through a situation that would lead them to actually develop a mental illness. Faith, hope, and peaceful religions actually help people. It is the dangerous religions that promote death and hate with twisted teachings that are dangerous and cause harm.
 
The state of the world will get progressively worse. People have given strong dominion to evil and the influence of God needs to be stronger. Nevertheless, God tells us what will happen in the future. He has given us the details. And Heaven is a much better place than earth is. However, when Christ is going to return, He will reign for 1,000 yrs with His people. After this period of time, satan will be allowed a short release and he will try to deter people from following God and to turn towards evil. If they turn towards evil then they forsake their lives. God is the Source of Life, if we are separated from Him, then we are on a path towards death automatically. Jesus wants us to live, but Life is only found in Him. Jesus is God and God is the only Source of Eternal Life. The final judgment takes place after the millennial reign of Christ, and then the Lord will make anew the heaven and the earth. We cannot even imagine the things which God has instore for the people who love Him. This world is like being stuck in an atari game, you make think it is cool, but then again living in an atari world, you have never seen an PS3.
 
I'm appalled at how blatantly arrogant many of you seem to be, as if you claim with absolute certainty that you're right, and we're wrong. It's as if you understand the entire f*cking universe, and know the truth, when in REALITY, there are no absolutes, but you people are too genius for this to apply to you, isn't that right?

"Religion is a delusion" "the religious are brainwashed" Really?, cause I'm open to the possibility that I'm wrong, you're the ones making these absolute claims.
 
Ha Ha Ha!!!! so funny i forgot to laugh. Try telling that to someone on their death bed waiting to go to heaven.
Faith is POWERFUL.
 
Please step down from your high horse. No. It isn't. And since you don't believe, you're depending on faith (because you don't have a complete certainty of it's non-existence) to believe that there is no afterlife or heaven.

Guess we all have "mental illnesses" don't we then?

This is the main thing about it. A person without faith is like an empty shell. faith is what keep us having a Sense of humanity. It is always necessary to go ahead to achiever the goal in the life.
