is extending a court date bad, or does it look bad?

i want to extend my court date because i know after i go
its gnna show up that i have a misdemeanor, & i really
don't have the money to pay the fine. is this a bad idea?
i also want to extended it cos starting december i start my externship
& i dont want it to show :\

& how long after u get a misdemeanor can u get it expunged?
