R Ryan New member May 26, 2010 #1 I was looking at a 1989 gs500e and the guy said that it ran just fine. A few days later he said he got it into second gear and it stalled like someone turned the key off. He is selling the bike and I was wondering how easy engine work would be.

G Girl New member May 26, 2010 #2 Nope! Sell it because Suzuki's are junk, not good at all. Engines are built horribly! So, work on it is hard.
