is education a human right?

The Best education is self taught. You are responsible for your own "education", no rights needed from government bureaucracy to get the education that you are responsible for getting yourself

until the kid is 18. they are then an adult and should take responsibility for themselves. BTW, this is regarding CITIZENS and those that are here legally. it pisses me off that we have to shell out tax dollars to illegals and anchor babies when citizens (those legally here) are not taken care of.

no, and most certainly not by way of international edict...not in the USA. this should be a state issue and not a national and most certainly not an international issue.

and the hera web site and the UN in general need to adhere to their own doctrines before they dictate to the rest of the world what they think or feel is basic human rights. they don't have a very good track record to be dictating to anybody what human rights are in this world whether on a human or political level !!!

I think so, yes! Now when one speaks of four years of college and on to post graduate school, then the person receiving the education should be required to contribute to paying for that education!
