There are only about 3-4 manufacturer's of flat screens, they are all made by them. You will see some other brand on them because all brands get the TV's from these manufacturers. I will say you do get what you pay for. A lot of the odd ball brands have a lot lower refesh rates and and contrast. If it's 1,000,000 to 1 or more then you are getting a good TV.
