yes and no the dsi has a pictuer system you can listen to music if you but them on a memory card but unlike the dsi the ds lite can play GBA (game boy advanced) and if you cheat on games a action replay system (not indorsed by nintendo) can be used
 
It all depends on your wanted gaming experience. With a DSi, you get downloadable games and a built-in camera, but you also have no option of playing and GBA games like with its predecessors.

i want a ds but i am having trouble looking for one that lasts long and is fun i was going to get a dsi but i don't know about it that well what are the features and is it worth spending that much money
