is distilled water de-cloranized? I got a new betta and we put distilled water into the fish tank. Don't worry, we havn't put the fish in the water yet. I would just like to know if it is de-cloranized.
No there is not chlorine in distilled water...but there is also no minerals in it....that the fish need.....so if you are using distilled water you should add trace Elements to the water.....next if bottled water including spring water maybe very bad for fish as well as many have test to be very toxic.....so high in fact that it would be deemed unsafe to drink by the EPA if it were tap water....I had several bottles test for the hell of it when moving in to my new place all had higher chemicals ratings the the tap water...some of the spring water had very high amounts of chlorine...higher then tap is by law allowed to have....
