Is confirmation of employment (after probation) by-law in Canada? Employer must

provide written notice? My probation was supposed to be 3 months, but my employer didn't confirm with me after 3months and 1 weeks. As per the contract, any clauses on contract won't take place during probation. They put a penalty on the contract if I leave within 2 yrs after probation. Now I want to resign, since they never confirm my probation, will the clauses be effective? or am I still in probation?
