Hello everyone. I'm a Mechanical Engineering major. I will be taking a computer methods class that's one semester in length. The class consists of learning C++, MatLab, and Mathematica. This semester, I enrolled in the class but ended up dropping it due to a heavy workload one week into the class. Looking at the syllabus and sitting in class a couple of days gave me an idea of what the class was going to be like. It seemed like a little tough for a three unit class. This probably because I'm new to programming and I'm going to have to learn this from scratch. I was just wondering if someone can advice me as to what to read or review before the spring semester begins. I have about two months before the semester begins and I was hoping to find some useful resources in order to ease my way into the class. From what I've been hearing, students tend to struggle more with the C++ portion of the class. Apparently, Matlab is what I will definitely need to pick up as a lot of the projects for other engineering classes are done trough Matlab. Anyway, I hope to hear your insight on material that I can look at before the class begins.
