I think it's all part of the Culture of "Jounalism"
Not a bad thing,really,unless it descends into utter trivia.
You wouldn't buy a newspaper that said:
"Jacko dead"......and didn't give you any more information,would you?
Although the fact that Jacko has "Popped his Clogs" is the only "News" that you really need to know.
