Is Clone High done for good?

Thanks to Juu-kuchi I've been looking into this series and quite enjoying it. I'm aware of the troubled history but finding out it's fate is difficult. Is the concept dead? The time since it started, the controversy and the fact it was an MTV show all seem to say yes.

I assume its dead, MTV did this with Spider Man, where they never officially canceled it but chose just not do anything with it. The last new episode was like 4 years ago? Yea Im sure its long gone.

MTV never officially announced Clone High's cancellation, but generally, when a show has been in hiatus for more than 2 years, that's usually an indication that it's done.

I wonder if Clone High reruns could be broadcasted on Adult Swim? Maybe a re-broadcasting of the series might ignite a revival just like it did with Family Guy and Futurama

Viacom owns all the MTV toons, so I doubt AS can get them. Daria, Downtown, 3-South, Undergrads, Spy Groove, and Clone High were all hilarious, yet can never be shown unless DVD provides them for us.

By the looks of things, I doubt Clone High's coming back. I took the time to watch the first and the last episode, and saw it ended on one helluva cliffhanger. If the show were to be renewed, it would have by now.
Does MTV still make cartoons? It looks like they stopped doing that.

There was Where My Dogs At?, but that didn't last long. Anyway, just 30 minutes of generic celebrity parodies that MADtv does better, anyway.

Clone High airs on Adult Swim in Latin America, because is distributed by Nelvana outside United States. Same with Bob & Margaret and similar with Undergrads (distributed by Decode).

Online petitions are like miracle diets; they don't work. I singed petitions to bring back both Megas XLR and Looney Tunes back to Cartoon Network. Neither of these accomplished jack.

I always felt that the way Clone High ended pretty much indicated that it was finished. I mean, that cliffhanger was pretty much unresolvable, much like with Duckman.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure the creators made that ending with the knowledge that they probably wouldn't make more episodes. I've got the DVD set, and apart from an inferior extended opening sequence and few bonus features, it's pretty good.
On one hand, it's too bad the show didn't get more episodes... On the other hand, at least it went out while it was on top, and certainly with a bang.

I've always been a little confused as to who owns what rights to shows like this.

Clone High was made for MTV, but produced by Disney (Touchstone). I'm inclined to believe that Disney owns it, but then again, Robot Chicken is produced by Sony for Time Warner's Adult Swim and WB is the one releasing it to DVD. WB also appears to be distributing it internationally, so does Sony have no claim over it at all?

3-South is in a similar situation with MTV since WB produced it.

And then there's the weird international distribution agreements. It's one thing for Nelvana to distribute Clone High, which they at least worked on, but apparently they also distribute Fairly Odd Parents??

To conclude this rant, wrap your brain around this. Hanna Barbera worked on two Globetrotters series - The Harlem Globetrotters is owned by Viacom, Super Globetrotters is owned by Time Warner.

Uh.....Clone High was produced by Nelvana Limited, and the copyright is shared with them and MTV.
Where'd you get the idea that Disney was involved?
