Is "Climate Change" a hoax to give the (progressive liberal) government more power?

Think about it, it's perfect. Us 'evil americans' are so just evil and bad and just awful and don't forget obese, that we are destroying the earth's ozone layer and destroying the world by melting it. Oh somebody please help us. "Well tell you what if you give us liberals more power, and buy our sponsored light bulbs, our gas efficient cars, trade in your junky cars, and do everything we tell you, then we can get moe money.... oops I mean we will save you from yourself". Is anybody else sick of One term Barry and Al Gore using fear tactics to control our lives and take away our individual rights slowly?
Yes Global warming is a hoax, even the chief meteorologist at the weather channel said it's not possible. And 60% of Scientists now say the earth is cooling, and to top it off Al Gore had to keep changing his story due to the fact that they found the 'melted' ice caps in another part of the ocean :)

Erin, your poor misguided soul, scientists and research institutions spend more time securing government grants than conducting actual research. If they want funding, they will promote the libbie BS.
 
Global Warming is a scientific theory, not a government theory. So, with that, your conspiracy theory is flushed. Scientists don't sit there and work with the government trying to give them more power. They sit there and work on finding new medicines, new life, what's going on with our planet, etc. And, in case you didn't know, things that are happening to the earth can change as quickly as the weather changes. No one has any control over it, not even the government. Global Warming is only a theory as of yet, it has not been proven. So, taking it as a theory, they are trying to help prevent something like that from happening, such as going green to help our environment.

Barry: It's common knowledge. So they spend a lot of time getting government grants, big deal. They NEED government grants to do research. WE need them to do research. If they didn't, our country would be stuck in the 13th century.
