Is civilization self-limiting? At what point does a civilized population rebel?

What possible motivation would Obama have to "intentionally destroy the USA" (as if the president is all that powerful)??? That's just crazy talk!
 
At this point, a signficant portion of the U.S. population has realized that our President Barack Obama is intentionally destroying the USA as we know it, and that he is personally the most treasonous person ever to hold that office. And he is on his way to Copehnagen now to meet with other treasonous leaders from around the world to establish a New World Order that will deprive us of our liberty and our freedoms, all in the name of the biggest hoax in the world, and that they are perpetrators of this hoax.

And yet, no matter how loudly his opponents shout at him at home - we still do not see violent mass demonstrations in protest of this overt tyranny against the people.

At what point does a civilized populatoin rebel against a rising tyranny?

How bad do things have to get before they take matters into their own hands en masse?

Is it safe to say that the more civilized we become, the more reluctant we are to revolt against a tyrannical government?

Is it possible that a society can become so civilized that it will never revolt, and because of that it will inevitably fall victim to tyranny, simply because they are so civilized that they choose not to resist it?

Is this the upper limit on how civilized a society can become before it is thrown into chaos by tryanny that reduces society to its primitive beginnings?

Its not Obama, Its entropy. All Civilizations fail because the needs of the people are not being met by the leaders that are charge of maintaining the system.

Rome, The Ottoman Empire,etc...

Populist disguntlment, such as you are describing, usually occurs in bad economic times that result in a cut in living standard. This is how communist revolutions happen and how fascist governments gain popular support.

Needless to say, we are still short of those times although there is a lot of talk by powerless people. Read Macchevelli and how he advises to play the population against your fellow elites when vying for power. What we are witnessing is block and tackle politics. No need for real alarm.
 
Comfortable brainwashed people don't revolt. As more people lose their jobs and become homeless the possibility will increase. Especially when they realize this was done to them on purpose. Sometimes it takes having nothing left to lose to fight back (no reason left to be civil). I just hope we turn on the people that are responsible for this mess instead of each other.

People on the left had the same wishful thinking you did when bush was in office. Problem is, there aren't enough conservatives left to rebel against anything. Btw, you can rebel in 2012.
