Is Chrysler and Mercedes still together?

The reason I ask this is because everybody is saying that they are not together anymore but i don't necessarily think that's true. I think that because I see the Dodge Sprinter and the Mercedes Cargo van have the same body, the same exact thing and the Chrysler Pacifica and the Mercedes R350 look the same. Also, since Mercedes owns Sterling trucks, they use the same body as the Dodge Rams body on their trucks. Now I'm a little confused about this.
 
Chrysler was sold to Cerberus. There may still exist many of the same platforms because the deals when they were sold stipulated that both companies could still utilize the shared platforms. Think of it as they both "inherited" the same chassis designs and still use some of the same manufacturers for parts. No harm in that for either company, which is what helped them sell the company to Cerberus.
