Seriously, I just posted a questions wondering if it was a bad thing that I went on a date and we took turns paying for the drinks. It wasn't an expensive meal, it was just a few drinks. I was asked out, he's courting me. In one of the replies, a guy said "You probably earn just as much as him, you can't have your cake and eat it too etc etc.", should I be penalised for having a job?
I was also told I had some cheek to expect a man to pay for a few drinks for me. Hello? HE ASKED ME OUT?!?!?!! Yes it's 2009, but do old fashioned values not count for anything? I work because nowadays women HAVE to. But I was not a member of "The Spice Girls", I did not opt for all this "Girl Power" bullsh!t. I still like gentlemen. Someone to hold open doors, buy me a drink, ask me to dance etc etc. What's wrong with that??? Apparently I shouldn't expect it because I work and it's 2009. I personally believe men are stingy and chivalry is dead. And men who are of this opinion should be ashamed of themselves.
