I understand the poem.
I'm just confused on what it's about. Is it based on a Holocaust or something? Why are there dead bodies everywhere? Why is he this guy the only one living? When did he get on a boat, I thought he was on a mountain? What is the subject of the poem, I guess that's what I'm trying to ask.
