I have read that cannabis has been used successfully to treat the symptoms of Multiple Sclerosis, reducing spasms and pain. The side-effect of schizophrenia and memory loss are relatively minor in adult patients, but still significant in the young.
There is a legal prescribed drug on the market: Sativex, but is unlikely to be prescribed on the NHS for cost reasons. There are cheaper ways of getting this drug, but sadly not legal.
A friend, who is in her 80s, has a neurological condition that affects her independence, and is depressing her greatly. The doctors do not seem to have an answer.
Is it possible that her condition is sufficiently related to Multiple Sclerosis to warrant trying her with cannabis. Really, she has nothing to lose, and if the alternative is the grave, she is prepared to try anything.
Anyone from cannabis-legal places such as California or the Netherlands who have knowledge of this?
