My boyfriend and I want to go camping in December or January (soon of course). We are debating whether to use a tent or rent a cabin to tent at the camp grounds. Would it be romantic? Whats the risk of being robbed?
* or rent a cabin
Tx is where we are camping

I really don't know what the weather is like in a Texas winter, but I imagine the nights could get really cold. My girlfriend and I love to camp, but if you're cold and miserable, then you guys won't be able to focus on what the trip is really about. If I were you guys I think I would rent the cabin. I know that it's more exspensive ,but you guys will probably have alot of fun. You guys should plan the camping for a warmer season. Oh and the chances of you getting robbed are probably very slim. I hope I could help and good luck.

well that depends on how experienced of a camper you are. you don't start camping in the winter, in a tent. if i went winter camping i wouldn't even bring a tent, just make my own shelter, and make it so i can have a fire in it. cant do that in a tent.
