I am about to enter college in the beggining of September and I was wondering if buying a new labtop preferably A Mac a good investment. Not good investment as in the brand or what not but spending money on a labtop in general. I've had an HP labtop for about 4 years or so and it constantly crashed with viruses and what not. Issues I can't trust, and a computer I don't want to depend on in college. Who wants to loose their midterm paper to a virus? My grandfather gave me his somewhat used Gateway labtop used for his company. It's nice, small and in good shape. I feel that buying my own completely new labtop would be a nice idea for college to have throughout my years at college. Would you say buying a new labtop for college would be a spoiled unnessecary investment or a good idea? Should I just suck it up, stop being so petty, save the money and just keep the used labtop my grandfather gave me?
