I am looking for a replacement netbook for my dying laptop. I just need it for surfing, emailing n watching videos, both online n off HDD. But I tend to open up to 10 browsing tabs when I surf.
I saw a 10mth old LG x300 n fell in love with it. But the specs wasn't tat good.
Intel Atom Z550 processor
1GB RAM - not upgradable. Soldered to motherboard.
64GB SSD drive
Selling for US$250. RRP at launched was US$1000+ in Mar 2010.
I am ok with the 64GB space but worried that 1GB of RAM will not be enough, or may make it sluggish.
Is 1GB enough for a smooth or even fast performance?
Or is it possible to replace it with a 2GB RAM and asking a repairman to solder it for me?
I chance across an Acer D257 running Intel Atom N570 dual core processor, 1GB RAM n 250GB HDD for the same price. Will this Acer be a better option, altho the design doesn't impress me?
