I'm looking at buying my first car soon, and I found a 2003 Pontiac Vibe for sale with 104,000 miles on it for under $6000. The car is in really good condition, but I'm just a little worried about the high mileage. However, the Pontiac Vibe is mechanically similar to the Toyota Matrix (same platform, engine, mechanics, etc), and aside from the Toyota acceleration problem, Toyotas are known to be hyper-reliable and I've heard stories of Toyotas going more than 150,000 miles with no problems.
So, is buying a Pontiac Vibe with 100,000 miles a good idea?
