Is Burma still ruled by military?

I have (sadly just) today learned about the horrible crimes committed in Burma by It's military rulers. I have a question though, is it still going on? Are people still being raped, murdered and beaten?

Its for a class project I decided to do on Burma and Aung San Suu Kyi (A woman on house arrest for 13 years for leading a nonviolent peace protest...)
