i've never herd of it..it would depend on if the service uses a GSM or TDMA air wave..If you live in a rural area and not a some what large city you would want a TDMA or CDMA network, If you live in a city that would carry GSM then go for that, it is cheaper because it uses less air space.
Ask the Service provider what kind they use.
