It seems you listen to BBC Radio London, as you only mention their presenters. Its a bit rich to slag off a huge national corporation for bias on the basis of your knowledge of just one of their local stations! But I'd remind you that the same station was home to John Gaunt for about six years...and he's always been slightly to the right of Genhis Khan! And Richard Littlejohn, the send-'em -all-back-hanger-and flogger-in-chief, also had a regular show there for years.
Claims of political bias from any single listener depend entirely on the views of that listener. You may not agree with what you hear...but you obviously enjoy listening to them (otherwise you wouldn't even know them), if only because they make you think. Would you rather listen to some bland, trite apolitical waffle with plenty of "celebrity news" ? Then tune into a commercial radio station like LBC.
The BBC itself is not biased in any direction. Its not allowed to be. But individual presenters, especially the good ones, will ALWAYS have their own views and you should expect them to voice them in current affairs phone-ins. The alternative is to have a presenter who only says stuff like " Yeah, mmmm, ok, good point there, well thanks for calling, and now we have Brian in Bromley...."
And would you seriously want to listen to that all day??
