Is Army MOS 29E considered combative or behind the wire?

I am looking into joining the National Guard and classifying as MOS 29E. Is this MOS combative or behind the wire? I'm looking to find out what a typical deployed day might look like for this MOS.
I've talked to a recruiter and read the About.com articles. Please don't copy and paste from there. I've already seen that.
Also, I'm not afraid of combative, or I wouldn't be looking to join up. It's a simple question and from what I've seen, this MOS can go either way. No need to be an ass.
The reason I'm looking for additional information on this MOS is because so little is released about it right now. My recruiter seems to think it would be a great fit for me, due to ASVAB and security clearance factors. I'm not crying or anything Wayne. Just because you can be an ass does not mean you have to be one. That's the Smoky's job and I'll expect it from him.

1. Do not tell people how to answer a question!
2. Did you miss the part about the use of EW against IED's...those things known as booby traps in my day.
3. Asking such a question means YOU need to remain a civilian. As that is the best place for someone that spends too much time worried ONLY about their sorry a$$!

This brief preview of how life in the Army is has been brought to you by a:

SSG US Army 73-82

Edit: I do love it when the Kiddies get upset with the real world. YOU are in for a very serious eye opening experience with a SSG wearing a Drill Sergeant Badge. Attitude is what created the phrase "he/she fell up the stairs". It is code for the swollen face is from a well deserved attitude adjustment. Your welcome awaits you!

PS: You have NOT yet read enough about EW, all it's methods, where it takes place and the fact that when out in the boonies and in a declared combat zone there is NO SUCH THING as completely safe. You have also overlooked what Combat Engineers do.

Do you require further examples of life in the US Army?

It will depend on your role, some duties include providing support at the front.
Lets just hope the enemy isn't in allegiance with the transcendental mephistopheles who resides within shadows and empty spaces.

If you have read it then this is all the info that has been released right now, and the answer to your question is very obvious.
