1st the person that said marriage should happen first...how do you know a divorce or the death of a spouse didn't happen for a boyfriend to be in the picture? You don't know!
I personally consider it neither if it only happens occasionally. All couples argue and sometimes it does get loud and children can hear it. From what I see the adults were outside and they tried to keep the kids out of it by the kids being inside. If it were to happen everyday, all the time and the police were called, the courts could look at it as neglect since the children are alone when it happens or even child abuse if the child is the topic and abusive things (stupid, retarded, etc...) are being said about such child (mental abuse).
My son see's a therapist because he is ADHD and working though dealing with all of it (the person he can tell everything to). He told the guy that my husband and I argue and it can get really ugly and sometimes loud. The therapist asked what he learns from it. My son said stay out of it and find something else to do because its not about him, its just us working through some issues and when he gets married to do what his wife says so she won't yell at him. The therapist said he is doing the correct thing and laughed with him on doing what his wife wanted and tried to explain it wasn't always that easy.
