Is Area 51 a multi billion dollar military installation?

I have information from a number of sources that Area51 just the outside of a larger underground facility. There are also many other underground bases around the United States, over 100 them.
 
the government can do whatever they want and yes area 51 probably does cost billions of tax dollars to run whatever they do there
 
I am certain that most of your "sources" have no idea what they are talking about. Anyone with such knowledge would not be telling people about it. There is a lot of secrecy surrounding Groom Lake and it will remain that way.
I was there once, for about 2 hours, and I saw nothing.
