Is Apple making an iPod Touch similar to the new iPhone?

I'm going on vacation in a week and really want to buy an iPod Touch before I go, but I don't want to buy one and then see a few weeks later a new iPod Touch being announced thats similar to the new iPhone announced yesterday
 
Well, it's likely that Apple will eventually move the new iPhone form factor to the iPod line. However, they have released new iPods in September every year for a while now. So, it's likely that if the new iPhone features (screen, body, all that good stuff) get moved to the iPod Touch line this year, it'll be in September.
