Is AP US Harder than AP European History?

I took AP European history last year and I passed both semesters with As. Is AP US easier or harder than AP European History?

I thought the AP US History exam was easier, since any student who attended an American school growing up would have been exposed to American history during that time, but would have been exposed to much less European history.

That said, I got 4s on both, so maybe they are actually the same difficulty.
