I just turned 21, but realized the "American Dream," is bogus and nearly unattainable.
Im 99% sure im studying abroad in Japan next year, and then planning on studying abroad in Hong Kong the year after. As of now, my plan is to move to China after college. Ill marry a Chinese guy, live in China, and enjoy life. Otherwise, I will move to South America (I was an exchange student their already).
I dont see the point in living if I have to work 9-5, 5 days per week (you go to work when the sun is just coming out, you get home as it is going down...you still have to cook, clean, shop, do chores, etc). Then on weekends, you have to do tons of chores...and sucks-to-you if you have kids or want to do volunteer work.
In other countries, the work is very easy if you are upper-class (which is easy for an already middle class American to achieve). Maids are common. Lots of vacation time. Even the schools are relatively easy (from my experience/my exchange student friends etc).
I decided while I am still young and attractive (plus i look young for my age and am only 4'10" fwa ha ha), I am going to marry an asian guy and move to asia (most likely China since its verryyy laid back + maids are cheap). Im white, Californian...so even that has come in handy when ive gone to other countries...ppl go out of their way to help and are so nice! ^.^
I told my mom about my new-found plans, and she found it unrealistic...but why work, when you dont have to? I have an easier time communicating in other languages anyways ^.^
Does anyone else share this or a similar plan? Id be really interested in hearing your plans/stories/thoughts. Thanks!!! (*^.^*)
my boyfriends family are millionaires in china...also, the female/male thing is not what most of us think...yes, it happened...but women actually have a lot of power and are respected.
also, rich ppl are allowed to have more than one child. pshhh the united states media is full of it lol. all you do is pay off the govt. they abort the poor ppls kids...but if u have money, they "dont see."
