is anyone familiar with old panasonic 5000 hd video cameras?

my dad picked up an old panasonic video camera from his work and were not sure where to look to find the product number. theres a bunch of different numbers on stickers and on the camera itself. we want to find the number in order to find the manual online.
 
Good news/bad news.

Good news - I believe your model # is WV-D5000 based on your description and web hits.

Bad news - the HD on that camera stands for Heavy Duty, not High Def. If my guess is right, you've got an old, analog, professional camera from the early VHS days. It says "Digital" because it uses digital circuitry instead of vacuum tubes.

Actually, it sounds old enough to pre-date the web, so you're going to have a heck of a time finding an online manual. I did find a paper copy on ebay for $16 if you want to take a peek at that.
