My expected family contribution is 9580 which is a bunch of crap if you ask me. Last year my efc was around 4000 but since my sister is no longer a dependent, I cant put her on my fafsa as being a household member in college. My parents are literally getting ready to file bankrupty and somehow the government decided that we can contribute 9580 dollars? It just doesnt make sense. I already have an academic scholarship and work part time, but its still not enough. I also go to a cheap public state school. I dont know. I guess Im just frustrated.
