Is anyone else sick of women complaining about the pear/hourglass shape?!?

I am a 17 year old girl who is ruler/apple shaped, and I would absolutely love to carry my weight in my hips. Frankly it just looks sexier and more womanly than a poochy stomach. Yet all I hear is women complaining about hips, saying they hate them, it's hard to lose fat there, blah blah blah. All this when there is even medical evidence that a small WHR is better for your health! Which leaves me, the ruler-turned-to-apple-when-fat, feeling like crap about my shape that I inherited from my freaking genes! Essentially what I am asking is does anyone have ANY ACTUAL REASON why having big hips is a bad thing? Or, better yet, is there another ruler-apple out there who understands how frustrated I am?!
Well honestly, I am happy for women who have a pear shape, and majorly jealous. It doesn't help me for you to say you have it, and flaunt it.

I understand why your frustrated but its normal for women to complain about their body shape. People always wish for what they can't have, its normal. I have an Ingenue body (which means not fully developed, youthful body) and im not going to lie I actually hope my body stays the way it is because I already have curves, but im athletic so I don't have fat on my hips.. its bone & muscles. But ill probably end up having an hourglass shape like my mother.

i myself have hips and i would like to say for the most part i agree with you, they are great for giving women a wonderful shape to their body and for some reason guys love hips. on the flip side; having hips can cause problems when finding comfortable jeans to wear without looking awful :( or buying graphic tee shirts. they have to be wider than usual so they are not a tight fit.

I have a whr of .68, and you would think this is great but because i have wide hips and shoulders and a tiny waist, buying clothes is hard, like really hard, to find clothes that look flattering for day time. and i look really skinny but wide hipped, it's not so great as you think.most models are ruler shaped. i don't want to look womanly shaped, i'd rather look like moedel skinny but my wide boney hips stop me from looking like that. it's awful, seriously, with hourglass, no matter how thin you are, you'll never have slim hips.
