Is anyone else a little Oscar-obsessed?

Every year, I wait patiently for the Oscars to come around. And today is the big day. I'm so thrilled and yet, slightly concerned. I have some how managed to miss out on the times as far as the TV schedule goes.When will the stars begin to stroll the red carpet? If Angie and Jen come face to face for the first time and I miss it I'll be super bummed.Can anyone fill me in on what time to tune in? I would look on a television guide, but my television doesn't have one. I live in Chicago. What time should I turn it on?
 
I live in Michigan and just read it starts at 8pm eastern, so would that be 7 for you?
 
Heck ya, I'm Oscar obsessed!!! I live for this day every year! hahaa. When it comes to the schedule, you can watch Oscar coverage right now on E! or the TV Guide Channel, which will run til 5pmAs for the Red Carpet arrivals it usually happens a few hours before the actual event and according to my guide it starts @ 3pm and ends at 5pm, now this is for coverage on E! and the TV Guide Channel. On ABC coverage starts @ 3:30 and goes right up til the award show which starts at 5:30pm. Please keep in mind that I'm on the West Coast but the times shouldn't matter too much since the Oscars will be broadcast LIVE on both East & West Coasts. BTW, I wouldn't hold your breath for a Jen & Angie face to face, I don't see it happening like that Jennifer has way tooo much class. I loathe Angelina Jolie with a passion!!! =)Hope that helped!
 
I believe for you, the red carpet starts at 6....Then the show begins at 7...For me the show is at 8 and red carpet at 7.AND. I love the Oscars and all other award shows !!!: D
 
I live in Chi also....how did you like them?? started out good but was kinda boring in the middle.
