Is anybody else the "oddball" in their family based on appearances?

In my family, I'm the definite "black sheep." This is out of EVERYONE... not just my household. The ironic thing is that, as a child, I had blonde hair (it eventually darkened into a dark blonde/light brown color). In any childhood pictures with my family I was the only blonde. My parents both have brown hair and so does my sister.

In the same sense, in comparing pictures of me, my sister, and our older cousin at around the age of 4 to 4 1/2 my cousin and I look VERY similar while my sister is the "oddball." Is that normal: for one person in a group of family members to stand out... whether it's to be the only brunette among a group of blonde cousins and siblings (our other cousin is also blonde) or to be the only blonde among a family of brunettes.

The picture shows (in this order) my cousin, me, my sister... all at around the age of 4 (they were 4 1/2, I was a couple months shy of turning 4)
My sister and I have COMPLETELY different hair.
